Performance Racing Industry Tradeshow 2010 – Day 1 Coverage

It was a freezing cool breezy morning in beautiful Orlando, Florida as thousands of anxious attendees from all over the world poured in the Orange County Convention Center to receive their badges prior to entering the mecca of all products related to the automotive industry – The Performance Racing Industry Tradeshow. Following our descent on the escalator, we were greeted with tons of colorful displays, filled with each vendor’s latest and greatest products along with heavily modified cars showcased by beautiful models. All types of music and videos were played at each booth, however, the loud hum of negotiation between attendees and exhibitors overpowered it.

Behold - The Wall of Motec

I’m not going to lie, we didn’t really have a structured “Plan of Attack” to begin with, but when we walked in, it was even worse. Our A.D.D. kicked in and we were like pinballs in a machine, darting from one side to another – going everywhere our little hearts desired. We had a few booths we truly wanted to visit such as Borg Warner, Garrett, Precision, Turbonetics, ASNU, and several others, but we didn’t tackle them in order by location. We recommend devising a plan of attack as your arms, back, and legs will absolutely hate you (even more) the following day if you do what we did!

I know what you’re thinking, “Shut up already, let’s get to the pictures!

Ok, ok, here you go…sheesh….

Oh, and we apologize about the quality. The lighting and conditions (a ton of people walking everywhere) didn’t make for the best picture-taking conditions for us.

Watch out - it bites!

R34 with EFR Turbo

By far the most impressive turbo we saw aside from the EFR series

Land Speed Rocket

We will have more coverage for you on Saturday so stay tuned! In the meantime, check out PRI’s gallery here.
